BERP Conference held in The Hague (June 2011)

In the framework of the Balkans Enforcement Reform Project (BERP), which is implemented by the Center for International Legal Cooperation, the Union Internationale des Huissiers de Justice (UIHJ) and the Open Regional Fund for South Eastern Europe of the German International Cooperation 40 experts from nearly all partners in the region gathered in The Hague on 20-23 June 2011 in order to assess preliminary results and challenges for the future of the reform of enforcement law systems in South East Europe.

Most of the participants also participated as guests in the annual meeting of the UIHJ, which in 2011 was hosted by the Royal Netherlands Organization of Judicial Officers (KBvG).

During the BERP conference  a book on the “Enforcement Law in the Western Balkans” was officially presented. That book is a compilation of the information on the enforcement law systems that has been gathered and systematized throughout the last three years within the region. For more information on the book please contact the director of the BERP, senior project manager for Europe and Asia Mr. Eric L.J.F.M. Vincken at CILC.
